In most of my plays of Darwin's Journey I got assigned the color yellow, despite it not being in my preferences, and even when colors that were in my preferences (blue and white) were available. In the linked game it says my colors and the green player's colors were picked due to preferences, which is clearly incorrect, as it's not like blue and white were already taken by other players due to what they set in their profile.• Jaký prohlížeč používáte?

I have them set to red, blue, white, and black from top to bottom, yet I get a lot of yellows no matter what else is available. I have one recent game with white, but even after that I got another yellow as second player to get assigned preferred colors.

Since there is no red color in Darwins Journey, I assume that the yellow I chose (#eab327) is close enough to red (#ff0000) for the BGA color matching algorithm, but I'm not sure.
Since no one else seems to have this problem, I guess you have to live with yellow instead of red.

Got it. It's still happening by the way, but I'll try to maybe switch blue and red order just to see if it works. Does seem kind of weird overall though.

So in this game: boardgamearena.com/14/darwinsjourney?table=575967605 another player, theNorb is saying that despite having yellow as his top preference (purple as the second) he never gets yellow even when available; he got green in this one. Augustine93 who got blue has blue as preferred color, so it's not a sort of "off by 1" bug, but it seems to happen to more than just me after all.
