In Expeditions Around the World, players must reach as many of the destinations on the board as possible. At the start of the game, they receive a hand of cards, each of which indicates a destination.
To reach these destinations, players advance 3 different expeditions beginning in Northern Europe using arrows. However, these expeditions can be led by any player.
Each time a location in hand has been reached, the player concerned can lay down his card, even if it was another player who played the expedition arrow. Each card played in this way will earn its owner one point.
There are also six common destinations that everyone can try to reach, visible to all players. If an expedition passes through one of these cards, it is placed in front of the player who connected it and will also score a point. A new card is then revealed in the shared destinations.
Up to 2 tickets can be played on a player's turn, in addition to the arrow (before and/or after) for a bonus. These tickets can be used to play another arrow on an expedition, to remove the last arrow from an expedition, or to exchange one of 2 cards drawn at random from the deck.
If an expedition forms a loop back onto itself, the player can immediately restart it with an arrow leaving from from any point already reached by that expedition.
It is also worth noting that the earth is round, and it is possible to move from one edge of the board to the other.
But it would be too easy to have only destinations unknown to your opponents! In fact, at the start of the game, before starting the expeditions, players must each place 4 small tokens, each indicating one of the destinations they have in their hand.
In this way, the player reveals some of their destinations to their opponents, who will be sure not to lead an expedition to them.
If any player passes one of the tokens, it is retrieved by the owner and will give them an additional point.
In Expeditions Around the World, you will need to strategically manage the routes to destinations and cities, creating links using your tickets, looping, and replay possibilities. In this way, you will sometimes be able to cross long distances and lay down several cards in just one turn.
The game ends when a player has discarded all of their cards or if there are no more arrows available. Each player scores one point for each card placed in front of them, and one point for each token recovered, and loses one point for each of their cards in hand or tokens still on the board.

Ve hře Expeditions Around the World musí hráči dosáhnout co nejvíce destinací na herním plánu.
Na začátku hry dostanou karty, z nichž každá označuje místo určení.
Aby se hráči dostali do těchto destinací, postupují pomocí šipek na 3 různé expedice začínající v severní Evropě.
Tyto výpravy však může vést každý hráč.
Pokaždé, když je dosaženo lokace v ruce, může dotyčný hráč položit svou kartu, i když to byl jiný hráč, který zahrál expedici.
Každá takto zahraná karta získá svému majiteli jeden bod.
Existuje také šest společných destinací, kam se může každý pokusit dostat a které jsou viditelné pro všechny hráče.
Pokud jednou z těchto karet projde výprava, umístí se před hráče, který ji připojil, a také přinese bod.
Ve sdílených destinacích se pak objeví nová karta.
Kromě šipky (před a/nebo po) lze zahrát až 2 tikety v tahu hráče za bonus.
Tyto vstupenky lze použít k zahrání dalšího šípu na výpravě, k odstranění posledního šípu z výpravy nebo k výměně jedné ze 2 náhodně vylosovaných karet z balíčku.
Pokud expedice vytvoří smyčku zpět na sebe, hráč ji může okamžitě restartovat pomocí šipky opouštějící z jakéhokoli bodu, který již expedice dosáhla.
Za zmínku také stojí, že země je kulatá a je možné se pohybovat z jednoho okraje desky na druhý.
Ale bylo by příliš snadné, mít pouze cíle, které vaši soupeři neznají!
Ve skutečnosti na začátku hry, před zahájením výprav, musí každý hráč umístit 4 malé žetony, z nichž každý označuje jeden z cílů, které mají v ruce.
Hráč tak odhaluje některé své cíle protivníkům, kteří k nim pak jistě nepovedou výpravu.
Pokud některý z hráčů předá jeden ze žetonů, získá jej vlastník a dá mu další bod.
V Expeditions Around the World, budete muset strategicky řídit trasy do destinací a měst, vytvářet odkazy pomocí vašich lístků, opakování a možností přehrávání.
Tímto způsobem budete někdy schopni v jednom tahu překonat velké vzdálenosti a položit několik karet.
Hra končí, pokud hráč odhodí všechny své karty nebo pokud již nejsou k dispozici žádné šipky.
Každý hráč získá jeden bod za každou kartu umístěnou před ním a jeden bod za každý získaný žeton a ztratí jeden bod za každou ze svých karet v ruce nebo žetonů, které jsou stále na plánu.
