Čeho se toto hlášení týká?
Co se stalo? Prosím vyberte níže
Pravidla: pravidla hry nebyla dodržena
Detailní popis
• Která část pravidel nebyla dodržena adaptací hry na BGA
As Actions are simultaneous, I shouldn't be able to see what action has been made by other players who have already validated their action before I did mine• Je vidět porušení pravidel na záznamu hry? Pokud ano, ve kterém tahu?
If I read "Lumberjack2022 places projects Tools and Tribe on left side, Writing and Masonry on right side", I can change my mind before placing my projects as I got these informations.• Jaký prohlížeč používáte?
Google Chrome v126

9. čec 2024 17:06 • It's a part of the game that's quite impractial IRL (need a way to hide choiecs and reveal them all at the same time...), but on BGA, we could wait until all players have selected their technologies before sharing that information to others (both on the board and in the logs)
This is mostly critical for phase A and E, but could apply to all phases to avoid edge cases (mostly related to trying to get first place in military power)

This is round 9 and in the screenshot, I can see what my opponent has chosen for his techs before I had to choose mine. As a result, I can estimate what his military strength will be and tailor mine accordingly. (I can increase my military but that costs me points in other areas so I want to do it only if gets me the crucial military points needed for bigger gain).
-----------------
My take on this:
The example shows that waiting for the other players to play is a serious advantage in some situations and this can be really detrimental to fairness and or speed of play, especially in turn-based mode.
I know that it is likely very difficult to change at this stage but it would be very beneficial to do so.
On the other hand, we should see what tech cards everyone has when they are not (seen as) placed.
The best, IMO, for phase A would be as follow:
- Display which techs are owned by everyone but not where they are placed
- Once a player has placed their techs, let them change their mind as long as the game is still waiting for someone (it's annoying to realize you made a mistake or a sub-optimal play but be unable to change while waiting potentially for 2 days for someone else to play...)
- Once everyone is done, reveal where everyone has placed their techs.
Many games with simultaneous turns do function like this.
I also think this is really the way the game is intended to be played IRL so this might actually be seen as a bug even though there is no explicit rule about peeking in the rulebook
